We have a range of photo-electric detectors and vehicle inductive loop detectors in both mains voltage and extra low voltage models.

Inductive loop detectors are available in single channel and dual channel, with directional detection available on the dual channel units.


Where saw cutting the concrete for inductive loop coils is difficult or impossible, we can supply loop mats which are simply fixed onto the surface of the concrete.

SELF CONTAINED INDUCTIVE LOOP DETECTOR MODULE.
This is a inductive loop detector module designed to be used in conjunction with surface or sub-surface loop coils to detect vehicle presence in a car park environment.
It can be used in conjunction with a counter module such as CT-22 to enable counting of vehicles without false counts due to detection of people as it will only detect large metal objects.
There are two relay outputs.
The presence relay output is activated when a vehicle is present on the loop coil and remains active until the vehicle drives off the coil (subject to limited presence time setting).
The pulse relay output is activated for a short duration either when a vehicle is first detected on the coil, or when the vehicle drives off the coil (selectable).
Front panel mounted DIP switches allow four different frequency settings to prevent crosstalk with adjacent loop coils and there are four available sensitivity selections.
Specifications
Input protection. Loop isolation transformer, zener diode clamping, gas discharge tube protection.
Operating modes. Limited/permanent presence, pulse on detect/undetect, automatic sensitivity boost on/off, 2 second filter on/off.
Indicators. Red LED - power on. Green LED - detecting. Green LED Flashing - loop fault.
Output configuration. 2 output relays: relay 1 = presence output, relay 2 = pulse output.
Presence output relay. Rating: 5A @ 230VAC, changeover contacts (fail-safe).
Pulse output relay. Rating: 5A @ 230VAC, changeover contacts (non-fail-safe).
Pulse output duration. Approx. 150ms.
Self tuning range. 20 - 1500uH.
Frequency adjustment. Adjustable in four steps. Loop frequency 12 - 80kHz (determined by loop geometry).
Sensitivity range. 0.5% to 0.02% inductance change in four steps.
Power requirements. 230VAC +/- 15% (PD-132) or 12 - 24V AC/DC (PD-134), 1.5VA max @ 230VAC.
Operating temperature. - 40 deg C to + 60 deg C.
Dimensions. 76mm (H) x 40mm (W) x 78mm (D).
Connector. 11 pin DIN rail mountable socket (included).

There are two normally open relay outputs, one for each channel.
In addition, the module can be set up to distinguish the direction of travel of vehicles passing over the two loop coils connected to the device. In this case, relay 1 will operate when vehicle travel is in one direction, and relay 2 will operate when vehicle travel is in the opposite direction.

PHOTO ELECTRIC SENSOR BEAM

This is an active photo electric beam with a range of 20 metres. The set consists of a photo electric transmitter and a matching receiver unit.

The transmitter sends a narrow beam of infra red light to the receiver. As long as the receiver detects the beam from the transmitter, the condition is 'normal'. If the beam is broken by an object such as a car or a person, the relay contact in the receiver changes over and remains that way until the beam is clear again.

These units can operate on wide ranging supply voltage, making them ideal for roller door safety beams, intruder detection and vehicle detection.

This is a inductive loop coil preformed in a 1200 x 600 PVC mat which can be surface mounted to a concrete driveway.
This is a practical alternative to 'cut in' loops and is very simple to install using recessed head Dynabolts (included).
